1992 Dodge Ram 2500

This is a beautiful example of a well-kept, one family, 5.9 Cummins Ram D250. They don't make 'em like they used to. "Bertha" started off in Oklahoma where she was bought brand new and was used to bumper pull a small camper. When the original owner, Don, passed away his son and daughter-in-law were able to bring her back to Tennessee. When they started their drive, the speedometer and odometer stopped working, so they went to Walmart to get a GPS that told them speed and accumulated accurate mileage, but the speedo was never fixed. Cruise control and everything else works great. A/C blows ice cold, and heat is hot. The engine has no blo-by and there are no leaks. In the pictures, you can see there is a small dent in the tailgate, and a scratch on the right side of the bed. Cosmetically she is in great shape for a 30-year-old truck. Powertrain wise, she is in perfect shape for any truck! She starts up immediately even when cold, and cruises down the highway comfortably. Just a hair over 100,000 miles is barely being broken in with the 12-valve diesel. The tires will need replaced, but instead of replacing them, we understand not everyone prefers the same tire, so the buyer can choose what he/she prefers for their use!
Don was meticulous about his truck. There are extensive handwritten maintenance records that go back to brand new, and on long trips fuel stops were logged as well. (He was averaging over 20MPG with the camper! Remember when fuel was $1.15 a gallon?... Needless to say, she was well taken care of. Since being in TN in 2012, she hasn't been used much: less than 30,000 miles logged in those 11 years. She has been covered and driven around the block periodically to keep things lubricated. Bertha is a great example of why the 12 valve is such a popular truck and she will last a very long time! We hope she goes to a buyer who loves these trucks as she deserves. But if you've read this far, I bet it is you!
