Description:

1975 Dodge Ramcharger

Thank you for looking. This truck is not your run of the mill lifted truck. This is a California pre smog convertible 440 big block (69 block) Ramcharger. Scour the internet, they are very scarce. Between the previous owner and I, this truck now boasts full 1 ton running gear- Dana 60 Kingpin up front w trac loc Posi, 14 bolt rear with detroit lockers and 4.56's. NP435 granny low 4-speed tranny, NP203 transfer case with part time kit... That all transfers power to super swamper 38's from a well built performance 440 magnum with approximately 6,000 miles (TMU)- TRW forged pistons, Hughes performance cam, lifters, and valve springs, 906 heads with hardened seats, forged steel crankshaft, Mancini race headers and a full Holley sniper EFI system mated to their electronic ignition system. Mcleod performance clutch and pressure plate, Milodon oil pan, I think you are starting to get the picture here that this is a serious rig. Plenty more to chat about if interested. I have all the specific deets.
Fuel delivery system completely redone with external electric fuel pump (Protected within the frame rail), Holley hydra sock, and this truck came with the 35 gallon optional fuel tank for all you "overlanders" out there. Interior is Corbeau up front and original bench in the rear. Yes it has a train horn and on board air for pneumatic tool operation and inflating them 38's.
Not many apologies to be made for this rig. Some rust on the removeable top. A couple quarter size rust spots on front quarter and driver door. Frame solid as can be with no rust (see pics). No leaks when driving normal. Transfer case gives me a couple drops after a wheeling weekend, or if I let her sit for two weeks. I always tighten up everything after a weekend of wheeling. Thats the nature of the beast. Wrench to play baby! Super swampers are getting older. Would be something to address in a year or two. Pretty much sums up the "negatives" if you will.
This truck was built to drive over mountains, through mud, rock crawl, sand dunes, show up un-invited to your ex girlfriends wedding, climb Mt. Everest, park in "Green Vehicle Only" parking spaces, and rescue just about every other rig that gets stuck with the winch when needs be. I haven't paid for beer while wheelin' in years. Message for further details, cold start video, pics of the rust spots, and anything else you need. Feel free to come check her out as well.
Fluids are all the correct color, oil is great and changed less than 500 miles ago. 500 miles ago she also got new spark plugs and wires (so easy to do with all the space under the hood and the Mancini headers) new oil filter, new magnetic oil pan plug, and I also did the electronic ignition install so she got all those electrics and distributor. New alternator eliminating the archaic voltage regulation system, new TC fluid, new coolant, and new air filter. Holley Sniper EFI swap and fuel system overhaul was about 600 miles ago. Very easy to tune however you want. I have it conservatively tuned for around town, and in the blink of an eye, I have her more radical for off roading.
If you plan on shipping the truck, make darn sure they know its 8" skyjacker soft rife lifted on 38's. The thicker axel housings make it more like 9" lifted. Some transports aren't designed for that tall of a rig. This truck is not a barrett jackson old mans show piece, she's a brute built to be a street legal tank. Happy bidding!
