Selling a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 six pack restoration project. This car was just featured on hemmings.com in a "barnfind" article written May 2023. This is a real R/T born in Michigan with an "N" code 383 HP motor and 727 torque flight transmission. The original motor is long gone, but has been replaced with 440 non HP motor from 1968. It also has a cast iron intake with three 2bbl carbs (aka six pack). This was an old street/strip car and is evident from the slap stick Hurst shifter, Stewart Warner guages, tach, and slotted wheels with slicks. I do not know the condition of the drivetrain as this car was sitting for many years. It does not currently run and I have not tried to start it. As for the body, it will need everything metal wise including a full floor with braces and rails, full trunk pan, and complete roof skin for starters. Not for the faint of heart or novice restorer. This is a big project. Please do not bid if you are not skilled with metal work/welding. The interior is missing front and rear seats and the console. It has rally guage package. On the exterior it still wears its original green poly paint with faded white R/T stripes, but the black vinyl top was removed at some point. The car still has it's VIN tag factory rivited in place, original door sticker with matching VIN, and a broadcast sheet with matching VIN. The data tag is not present. Here is your chance to own a piece of Mopar history! Clean title and build sheet in hand. Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Car rolls easy for loading. Must be picked up with a rollback or trailer with winch. I do not provide vehicle transport. A $500 non refundable deposit is due immediately following auction's end.
