1989 Dodge Dakota Convertible Red 4WD Manual SPORT
1989 Dodge Dakota SPORT
Vehicle DetailsThis vehicle is what appears to be a rust free Pacific NW truck fully loaded that looks to have been garaged it's whole life. It is a rare unit, in the three years produced only a little over 300 were produced in this configuration (std transmission 4x4). The truck has just about every options, power steering, brakes, windows, lock, cruise control, skid plate and class 2 hitch. All functional. Until last August it sat in a garage for almost 12 years. I bought it from the widow of the owner and she knew very little about the truck. When I bought it, the brakes were frozen and the engine had not been started for a long time. I got the brakes freed up and after changing fluids and filters the engine started right up. I had a local wrench do a safety check on the brakes and all were good. With some minor dings and scratches the paint polished up very nicely. There is only one minor dent, you can see it in the driver's side rear bumper. The transmission and transfer case appear to have been rebuilt, first because they shift very smoothly, and there are what appears to be mileage marked in yellow on them (see picture). Since last fall I have driven it about 500 miles. Included with the truck is a very rare convertable top boot, NOS brochures (1989 & 1991) and repair manual.
