1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 4-Speed Dana

Beautiful and original 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T powered by a rebuilt and modified 440 c.i. Wedge motor, factory 4-speed, and backed by its matching 9.75” Dana 60 differential.

Restoration was done prior to the current owner purchasing the car 3 years ago and it appears the builder started with a solid car. Areas which have been replaced include both lower rear quarter panel sections and the rocker panels. The single stage urethane shows well for its age, with only a few minor flaws (see photos). No fender tag was evident when purchased.

There is no paperwork on the build, but the owner was told the 440 motor has been bored .030” over, uses a Comp Cams hydraulic flat tappet cam, Edelbrock single plan manifold, 850 cfm Holley carburetor, Chrysler electronic ignition, larger Griffin aluminum radiator, Ceramic coated headers, and 2 ½” exhaust system.

Recent upgrades were performed by the present owner including:

Servicing the power brake system (factory drum).

Rebuilt transmission with new clutch pack assembly.

Borgenson power steering system.

Power Master alternator

High torque mini starter

New heater core, fan, and motor.

Rebuilt 3.54:1 posi-traction differential.

14” Magnum 500 wheels w/ 225/70R/14 B.F. Goodrich radials

The interior was done in a custom vinyl pattern with new carpeting and headliner. All of the factory gauges work as well as the aftermarket SunPro items which include a tachometer, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltmeter. The factory radio does not work, but in the glovebox is a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player connected to the rear stereo speakers.

The windows and vent glass are in very good condition and show no fogging or bubbling.

Less than 2,000 miles have been logged on the R/T in the past 3 years and the owner has made it a strong running, reliable, show car for the local cruise-ins and shows. It is an excellent example of a buy gone era when cubic inches ruled the road.
