It was on the road in 2014 as I took it for a test drive, however the degraded steering worm gear made things interesting. It was moving through the gears smoothly. I bought it intending to restore it.It wasn't until the restoration mechanic had done some work that he expressed concerns about the rust in the pans, undercarriage, and bottom of the doors. Everything above wheel height seems sturdy. Inline 6 cylinder engine was turning over in 2015, but the restoration was abandoned and has since sat under a carport.
I'm assuming this truck would only be usable for parts, yard art, or advertisement. A full restoration might be accomplished by someone with seriously good metal working skills.
The steering worm gear must be replaced. Driver side window is there but needs to be retracked. Seat under driver is missing padding. The photos of the truck bed are only there to show the wooden bed. NOTHING sitting on the bed will be included in this auction. All items will be removed and those wheels are going up in another auction as they belong to another truck project. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipment. Truck will fit on a flat bed. Clear, blue Texas title for easy transfer.
