1963 Dodge Polara

This 1963 Dodge Polara has a very cool style. And beneath the distinct sheetmetal is a performance-built 440 V8 and all the right goodies to make this a quarter-mile king.
This comes from the few years when you could really tell a Mopar apart from the crowd. They had extra style everywhere. That's why the vertical bar grille had a horizontal crease; the full-length trim had both a tapered line and a hockey stick end; and there's even a hint of sporty overhang on the roof. So with a car this distinct, it's nice to see one so well presented with crisp lines and doors that close with confidence. And it's all wrapped in an updated application of a tasteful maroon. This was also the era when full size cars had big power, and so this one shows its aggression particularly well with the hood scoop and competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels - and do you see how much wider the rear ones are?
The interior has a vintage look, but they also gave it the right updates. For example, the two wide benches have a stock style, but they have been updated later in life to make sure everyone is comfortable. The same goes for the door panels and sun visors. If you like stock-style then you'll enjoy the artful steering wheel with classic Dodge center cap, and the AM radio is even still on display. But this is not out to be just some vintage cruiser. The AutoMeter Pro-Comp temp and oil pressure readouts are mounted high on the dash so they're at eye-level. The large AutoMeter Auto Gage tach is there, too, and it goes quite well with the B&M ratchet shifter.
The dark inner walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to the big heart in the middle. This is Mopar's mighty 440 cubic-inch V8. It has been built with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Weiand hi-rise intake, MSD ignition w/billet distributor, and an upgraded performance cam. Long tube headers add power while also contributing to the rumble of the Cherry Bomb dual exhaust. This is believed to be a professional speed shop setup, and you take full control over it all with the stout A727 Torqueflite three-speed that's built with a reverse manual valve body.
We're all after power and distinction...and this performance Polara delivers both in spades. So at a price like this, you know you don't want to miss this deal. Call today!!!
