1964 Dodge Dart 270

The best way to stand out in the vintage car crowd is to find an uncommon classic with plenty of performance added in. So this 1964 Dodge Dart has a performance-built V8, upgraded suspension, four-on-the-floor, and four-wheel disc brakes. It provides distinction and power all in one package.
Dodge was particularly bold with this generation Dart by giving it the rounded styling that came from Chrysler's futuristic turbine-powered cars. Today the design has appreciated into a retro-cool reminder of the jet age. That's a good thing because the glossy charcoal gray paint on this car looks out-of-the-world in the sunlight. It's the perfect framework for the brightwork, and like any good 1960s coupe, there's plenty of it. Best of all, this increasingly hard to find trim and chrome is compete. Even the front bumper comes with the sale, but it was removed because it helps the front end drive home this car's custom/speedy image. You see more of this performance look in the polished 17-inch Ridler alloys that have a forward leaning stance and extra wide rear rubber for added intimidation.
The fresh blue interior has a tasteful look against the exterior gray. Good looking door panels, button-top seats, LED dash lighting, Dynamat insulation, and even the beginning provisions for air condition make this a nice place to spend some time. But from the moment you get into the driver's bucket, you know this Dart is really all about speedy business. You've got a three-spoke sports steering wheel (power steering), auxiliary gauge trio, and carbon fiber paneling on the dash. The large AutoMeter Autogage tach w/shift light is pure professional quality. And the Hurst shifter even has a line lock to get you ready for those dragstrip nights.
While this Dart's original 270 designation tells you this was born a slant-six car, the engine bay shows off nothing but big investments in proper Mopar V8 power. It's a 318 cubic-inch motor that has been enhanced and fortified with .030 over kit, 360 heads, Hughes Performance Whiplash 213/226 camshaft, CVF Racing pulleys, MSD ignition, Summit Racing high torque starter, Edelbrock Airgap intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's a big power setup, and you have full control over it thanks to the four-speed manual transmission that includes a McLeod clutch and upgraded package from Brewer Performance. This feeds a 3.73 Sure Grip rear end built by Scotts Hot Rod Shop, so it's a stout unit for confident take-offs. Plus, there are QA1 suspension components, Competition Engineering frame connectors, and drilled & slotted four-wheel power disc brakes.
This is a fresh build of a serious street and strip machine. The sale even comes with the build receipts and restoration photos to prove the time, effort, and big investment to create a car of this caliber. Call today!!!
