1969 DODGE DART GT CONVERTIBLE, 440 SIX PACK AUTO TRANS
This is a 1969 Dodge Dart GT convertible, with a '69 440 six pack w/ a '69 727 transmission, Center Console. This is quite possibly one of the nicest Darts that you will ever see, an absolute blast to drive...you will not be disappointed. This a great ride that provides me and my wife with a lot of enjoyment. Under hard acceleration when the end carbs kick in there is absolutely no other feeling like it. You are going to love this car as much as I do!
First and most important to me is that this car is not a clone. I did not change any of the badging nor do I represent this car as anything other than what it is, a 1969 Dodge Dart GT convertible. I built a car that I wanted and that I wished that Chrysler had built. I am selling the car because I want to start a new project and I would like to use the sale funds to help finance the build.
The very first Schumacher Creative Services products were developed for this car - starting with our Wiper Seal Gasket Kit. I bought the Dart in the fall of 1986. Basically from that point until 2003 it served as a test mule for our products, especially the wiper seal kit and our first motor mount bracket kits, the 340 and big blocks onto the slant 6 K-member.
The Dart started life as a Slant 6, bench seat, B5 blue car. But it did have an original am/fm radio and power brakes. I felt that as long as I didn't try to build it into a clone, I could do anything I wanted with it - build the car I wanted, just have fun! Although the project changed in many ways over the years, one goal was there from the beginning; the car, along with power steering and power brakes, had to have a 440 Six Pack that looked like it belonged there. Attention to detail was what made that goal attainable, and it is what makes this car special. The car has become a wonderful showcase for our products. But its most important function has been the one it was intended for long before it helped start a business - a great ride that provides me and my wife with a lot of enjoyment. Under hard acceleration when the end carbs kick in there is absolutely no other feeling like it. You are going to love this car as much as I do!
• The only negative is that there is no canvas on the top. It functions beautifully I just never got around to finishing the top. I have a new canvas but I never really saw the point. I have never driven it in the rain. If this bothers you I will pay for professional installation out of the sale funds.
• The car has been featured in all of our ads as well as an August 2007 article in Mopar Muscle...Top Down And Flyin'.
• The article link is as follows:

• I personally stripped the car down to bare metal and it has zero rust. The left rear quarter panel was replaced but the work was done professionally and the Dart is laser straight.
• I tried to use original parts as much as possible for example: all of the original nuts and bolts were bagged, labeled, cleaned, thread chased and then reused.
• The hood inserts and trunk finish panel decal were made from our design by Clay Wood.
• The bright teal engine paint is a play on Chrysler's turquoise and our company colors. The splatter paint on some of the accessories and trim add a little levity to the engine compartment.
• The amber turn signal lens are from Brazil. I'm not sure how rare they are but I've never seen them before.
• The Dart has a clear title.
• 4280.3 Miles after restoration.
• I have a partial broadcast sheet.
• I am a private seller so please contact me with questions for more information. I may have missed something that you want to know or a photo that you want to see...so please ask questions! I will respond ASAP. I have been the owner of this car for 33 years, there is nothing that I don't know about it. So again, PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS!
