1978 Dodge B200 Van Sportsman

Please look at the photos and read. The mileage is exempt and uknown, I would guess it is 121,745 but do not know.

This was owned by an old boy who used in once and awhile to haul a piece of furniture in his upholstery business. He kept it in his shop for the past 15 years, prior to that I do not know its history.

He would remove the seats to haul the furniture. I have never removed them, but they do lay down flat for camping as the Sportsman was the family all purpose camping van.

It has a 360 in it that I have had it tuned up and it runs really good, I also put on a new muffler. The gas tank is one of the plastic ones Dodge used in some vans, it rubbed on the frame and has a leak if you fill it all the way up. I had intentions to change it but haven't had the time.

I do not have time to do much with it and it is only getting driven once a month, then I store it inside for the winter. It is used and as you can see of course, it is not perfect.

But even though I have tried to picture some trouble areas for the age it is a beauty. Idaho vehicles fair pretty good body wise and the surface rust as shown is from paint chips and the other photo of the rocker area. But if you look at the under carriage photos, it is a clean underside for the age.

The speedometer does not show the correct speed, and the gas gauge seems to be off like a typical Dodge. The radio works and the shifter lever does not show what gear your in, but it is a no brainer and another common issue. It looks like someone replaced the steering shaft as it is red as pictured.

If it has sat, you have to pump the gas a few times to start like a typical old car. Once your out driving. It will start up without doing that.

If your a van guy you know what to look for and what this is, if you want to drive it home have at it, but I have only driven local and you will have to fill up often where you can't fill the tank all the way. But in the past people have come out and picked up the few vans I have sold over the years in person. Not one person left without their Van. I try to be as up front as I can be and am an honest seller.

The Van goes no where until paid in full and the payment is cleared period. Even if that takes a month. If you pick up in person, bring the dough and I will sign the title.

Why am I selling? I have a nice Van that I do not have time to drive. Plus lets be honest, I am tired of hearing my wife say I have four cars and she has one, even though all of mine still cost less than her one. Dudes will understand that one.

Ask questions, there are not many untouched originals out there, most have been beat or crushed. This is a good one to just drive and work on, or name it something and bring it into your club or family. Name it the "Love Tunnel" and do what you do best! Perhaps you call it Root Beer Float and go Fishing and have smores.

With sell to the United States Only, the mainland, no off shore or over seas, sorry guys.

The buyer is responsible for any costs to ship or pick up. I can co-ordinate with a shipper if you set it up. But it is your responsibility. I prefer you to come pick up in person, but have shipped a few with no issues over the years.
