Description:
1973 Dodge Challenger 340 Rally
original 1973 Dodge Challenger, 340 Rally,4-speed car. original 340 engine and 4-speed tranny are long gone. It now has a pre-1973 big block 383 with 727 automatic tranny. Engine runs pretty good. no rattles or unusual noises. no smoke. tranny goes in gear and turns the wheels. original clutch pedal, 4-speed hump and 4-speed console in the car. all glass is good. complete car. not cut up or full of bondo. Has all its original body panels. minor rust issues. one rust spot size of your palm in outer door skin drivers side door front near the bottom. one spot about the size of palm of your hand in front of right rear wheel and the same at the rear of right rear wheel. No other rust thru on outer body. This car requires "NO" body panel replacement period but does need a few patches only. Passenger side front floor pan is near perfect as is the drivers side rear pan. The passengers side rear pan needs a spot (area about the size of the palm of your hand patched). The drivers side front floor pan has an area in the left front corner and the left rear corner that needs spot patched. Both areas size of palm of your hand. The the body panel fitment is very good. most body panels are straight. car was originally vynle top car. the top was removed years ago and top was painted to match the bottom. No rust issues around the windshield or rear window. The trunk floor pan is very good with only minor rust issue on the left rear side where the battery tray was moved to the trunk.the interior is all there except the carpet and about half the headliner. All seat, door panels, side panels, Rally dash, etc. are in place. This car has two sets of wheels that come with it. The white spoke wheels are trailer wheels with good tires that hold air to move the car around with. The other set are the aluminum wheels that can be seen on the car in a couple of the photos. The tires on the aluminum wheels are dry rotted and junk.I have a good Tn. title in my name for the car. This car came from the factory with "NON" power steering and "NON" power disc brakes. This car has been in dry storage for well over ten years and needs a fun restoration. It is not road worthy nor drivable as is. The brakes would need totally rebuilt. The seat covers are dry rotted and the dash pad is cracked. The underside of this car is very good with great frame rails, rockers, inner fenders, etc. There is "NO" fender tag. The bottom half of the car is original paint and still has the Rally factory striping visible. Car has great patina, if you like that sort of thing. Both bumpers and grill are in good strait condition. This car could be made a driver with out a lot of money or time, in my opinion. Please inspect the photos carefully. you are encouraged to come inspect the car personally before bidding on it. "There are no warranties implied or expressed of any kind.
