the car starts, runs and drives with good brakes but does need restoration
1955 Dodge coronet
please ask questions BEFORE you bid so all concerns are addressed to satisfy you, lots of folks bid and then ask about somethin, which is backwards ! this is a great car for a restoration or just drive it as is...it has the flathead straight 6 with a vintage edmunds dual carb intake with 2 carbs, it fires up, idles wel, clutch feels good, shifts through all gears, exhaust sounds good, has one port on the exhaust manifold capped off so it could be opened up to run and dual exhaust right off of the manifold, brakes feel fine and stop the car good. i have driven it locally with no issues other then a float in one of the carbs sticking once or twice..recommend just opening up the carbs and cleaning them out, should be fine as a driver then...the interior was done many many years ago and is intact but dingy looking, carpets look fine, from underneath it looks like floors were patched at one time but were not terrible and are solid and good enough. tires hold air fine and have decent tread..body could use work or replacement to the rocker panels under the doors and a little rust through over the rear wheel wells, all is certainly fixable and not all that bad, rocker panels can be had new for $34 online at c2cfabrications or can just be repaired, paint is faded, chrome is decent and bumpers have no rot through, all in a all, a good 2 door 1955 dodge and we all know what some folks are asking for anything in a 2 door from the mid 50s these days. i am listing this as a "no reserve" auction and it will sell to the highest bidder. so again, please ask first and bid after you are satisfied with its condition or come see it and i'll take you for a test drive in it, i have a clear title in my name, also have a factory radio, faceplate and antennae should you care to add id, condition of the radio is unknown, there is no warranty or guarantee expressed or implied and is sold in "as is" condition,,just the usual legal lingo, i mean it is a car from 1955 ! the car is located in philadelphia pa 19111, deposit of $500 within 24 hours unless you make contact by phone and arrange full payment in person. and full payment by cash or direct bank transfer would be fastest, checks are acceptable but these days can take 2 full weeks to clear due to scammers and the car can be picked up once full payment is clear, happy bidding !On Mar-21-19 at 11:09:12 PDT, seller added the following information:

had an email question: "can it be driven from phila pa to mt laurel nj ?" i have driven it locally but before i would drive it far, i would just suggest cleaning the carbs out, i did have one of them start flooding out once. i opened it up while on the car and blew it out with air and it was fine, but both carbs should really be taken off and opened up for a proper cleaning, if its only going to mt laurel nj or anywhere else within 30 miles of phila pa 19111, i can deliver it, any further and you need to arrange pickup,,or feel free to drive it there..again, i would suggest having it delivered till its all cleaned out. i drive it once a week but have only driven it maybe 5 miles or so at a time without issue.

got an email this evening asking about the radio, this car is a radio delete car but a factory radio comes with it but i do not know its condition, never installed or check it,,it also comes with the stock radio bezel to replace the delete one and the stock 55 dodge antennae, they are all in the trunk and come with the car. questions can also be answered by phone at 215-713-8913 and i will also post all questions and answers here so not to get the same question twice.

well ! i actually had the question put to me, "does it have air ?" ummm, no ! there are not many cars from the 1950s that do, air conditioning was super expensive to add to a car back the, it does have a lever under the dash that pops up a vent in front of the windshield for fresh air while driving that is actually pretty effective but it does NOT have a/c
