1965 Dodge Coronet Lightweight

1965 Coronet HEMI S/S Lightweight Tribute? or Real Deal? Actually hoping someone can shed light on this while we sell it. Though it sounds like a story of folklore, This car was traced from the factory to Chicago where it was lost for many, many years. One day, it shows up in a barn with a couple of old pickups. Still has the grenaded 426 Hemi in it with no heads, another hemi on the floor next to it, and the factory lightweight hood sitting on the roof. The guy buys it, and starts a VERY, VERY, VERY expensive every last nut and every last bolt, three year+ restoration. (He is still alive and well and can back and embellish this whole story when we get to that point). There is literally what seems like a story for almost each and every part of the car down to the Period correct 426 HEMI that is now a 472 c.i. which was built by no other than... Richard Petty's crew chief. Taking over a year alone. Adorned with dual 770 Holleys opening at the same time help displace WELL over 700+ horse and over 980+ foot pounds of torque... to the ground. A special built HEMI 4 speed and a DTS Rear end help bring it home. The rear has 3 inch by 12 inch brakes and he then added discs to the front to help her stop at the end. A full factory style roll cage with (adjustable) original lightweight seats endow the interior. A fully functional set of gauges and lights also work as they should. The car very easily runs a consistent 10.36 quarter mile on new Mickey Thompson Sportsmans all the way around and will do better on slicks if you so choose. The car has been featured in numerous magazines. She has won Autorama twice in it's class, and has many awards at Mopar meets and car shows throughout the midwest. The car will have a very modest reserve set. We welcome your hot rod, classic car, or muscle car trade. Clean and clear title in hand.
