1973 Dodge Dart

1973 Dodge Dart, original California car, originally with Slant Six/auto,, now has 360 4-speed manual transmission, 8-1/4 rear end with 2.71 gears. We bought the car for our son, as a "gateweay drug" to see if he really wanted a muscle car. I've owned plenty of "real" Mopar muscle cars in the past, including 1968 and 1969 Charger RT's, a 1970 Challenger RT/SE, 1969 Super Bee, etc., and while this car is no big block, and has a plain Jane stock late seventies cam in it, it still manages to scratch an itch, especially with the 4-speed. But my son is now gone in the Navy, and won't be ready for a muscle car for a while, so the Dart is up for sale. I'd recommend it to anyone for the same reason I bought it; as a "first" muscle car, at a very modest investment.
It's an original California car (see sales slip, where the couple who bought it in Pasadena traded in their 1967 Mustang 289 on this Dart), and came with factory a/c. All dash controls and a/c evaporator are in place, and work well (blower, heat, defrost, etc. all work well), but you will need to install a compressor, condenser, drier and lines to restore air conditioning function. I've already installed electric cooling fans in anticipation of doing this myself.
The Dart has power steering and manual disc brakes. Rallye wheels have been restored, and new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's are installed on all 4 wheels.
Everything works on the car, including exterior and interior lighting, turn signals, heater/defrost, original AM radio, horn, gauges, speedometer, and wipers and washers. A/C needs a compressor and condenser, as previously mentioned.
