1926 Dodge Brothers Special Sedan

1926 Dodge Special Type B

For your consideration is my 1926 Dodge Brothers Special Sedan. It is a late 1926 two unit (starter and separate generator) type B engine. This was the last Dodge Brothers engine before the 5 main bearing Fast Four. The previous owner of the car bought it after it was restored in what looks to me to be the 1960's, it was then put up on blocks and put in dry storage since that time. I have pictures of how it was stored. I bought it in that state non running and proceeded to sort the mechanicals and clean the car up. I am a skilled mechanic and have experience with classic and antique cars. I carried out the following to this vehicle: Changed all fluids/serviced filters, sorted adjusted brakes, replaced fan belt, points, condenser, plugs, wires, surfaced head, replaced head gasket, performed a valve job and ground seats, replaced valve spring keepers, set lash, reworked carb. and Stewart Warner fuel tank, surfaced and reworked exhaust manifold and gaskets, replaced fuel level sender, replaced one tire tube and flap, sorted wiring, etc. My goal with this car was to preserve. It is a very old restoration with cracking paint and patina but has zero rust and clean bright work. Every system on the car functions as designed in 1926 including the lights, horn, moto meter, etc. It runs, shifts, stops as it should. This is a turn key car. I see many "restored" cars that are not as complete and correct as this example. Keep in mind though it is a 92 year old vehicle and shows and operates as such. Please do not bid if you are unfamiliar with antique cars. I have daily driven this car and it really is a miracle that everything functions on something this old. There are no cracks in the glass.
