Check this beauty out. 1985 Dodge Ramcharger Prospector Royal SE.. A friend of mine found this truck in an estate sale here in AZ. The seller told us his grandfather bought it from the original owner in 1994 in Nevada. In 2001 it was inherited by his father after his grandfather passed. The sellers father kept it at their winter home here in AZ for the last 9 years where it was hardly ever used. After deciding to retire and sell their AZ home they had an estate sale which is where I was able to have my friend purchase it for me. (**Now this is a great story of its history but I have no way to actually verify it. I doubt he would have made it up though and the CarFax appears to follow the same time line as the story we were told of its histoy**) Originally I had a plan of doing a Cummins conversion to it however after getting it to my lot here in Queen Creek Arizona I could not believe how well kept and original it was. Being that they did not make that many Prospector editions and even less Ramchargers with manual transmissions I felt it was better to leave it the way it is now as there are not many left in this good of original condition. That said it runs and drives great. At some point it looks like someone had added an aftermarket radio and speakers in the doors which have been removed. There is minor very minor wear on the arm rests and center council however nothing out of the ordinary for a vehicle of this age. There is a small wear spot on the drivers side carpet under the floor mat which is also very common for a vehicle of this age. It does look as though at some point some one repainted it using the factory colors however it is a very good repaint. Other than that it appears to be all original. For the age of this vehicle it is in excellent condition both inside and out. We have emissions here in AZ and it passed with no problems. I have searched the internet to see just how many factory manual transmission Ramchargers I could find and there just are not that many out there. The ones I did find are no where near in the condition this on is in. In my opinion being that it is a real Prospector Ramcharger Royal SE with a manual transmission in the condition it is in makes it a very rare find.
