1993 Dodge Stealth ES

For sale is a 1993 Dodge Stealth ESthat has been in my family for 25 years. Hasamanual transmission,sunroof, leather seats, AC, power locks, power windows, cruise control,andcustom 560Wstereo system with CD, tape, and auxiliary cord. Engine rebuilt at about 120000miles, but the speedometer cable has broken since then, so the odometer is off by about 3000 miles. Runs, engine needs some work, interior is in good shape, paint is in poor condition. Included with the sale are all records for the car, as well as a car cover, the service manuals, and a box of spare parts/manuals for the stereo.

Car history:

Purchased new in 1993 by my father. Passed on to me in 2003. Engine took a turn for the worse in 2007, probably due to a bent valve from a botched timing belt replacement when it had its 60k mile serviceperformed. Sat covered in our driveway until 2011 when we had the engine rebuilt by Ground Zero Performance. Ran fine after that until 2014whena string of mechanical problems rendered it garage-bound. The car still runs and I take it out everynow and thento keep the parts moving, but it needs work to become a dependable daily driver once more.

Overall condition:

- Engine runs but needs work (see below).

- Paint isfaded, chipped, and peeling in many places. No rust,but it could use a paint job.The wheels have some scratches.

- Interior is in good shape. The leather covering on the front seatswas replacedin 2004.There is a tear in the rear passenger seat and the vinyl is bubbling on the doors. 560W stereo system was also installed in 2004, sounds great, no issues to this day. Windows legally tinted, tint still in good shape.

- No known electrical issues. All lights, power accessories, windows, locks are working.

- The one accident in the history report was when a neighbor backed into the driver's side door when my father had it. The door was replaced and has worked fine since.

Known issues:

- Engine and cams need new gaskets,they leakoil.

- Needs new belts.

- Power steering linesleakand need tobe replaced.

- Speedometer cable is broken, therefore THE ODOMETER READING IS NOT ACCURATE,estimated to beoff by about 3000 miles.

- Brakes are rough from sitting too long, there’s a rattle coming from the rear suspension that does not affect the handling, sometimes the engine makes a ticking noise that I can’t diagnose.
