1972 Dodge Charger
This is the BEAST. A 1972 Dodge Charger 2 tag car special ordered.Signed by Richard Petty on the glove box. The car is no longer original but I do have all numbers matching engine 400 2 bbl., 727 torqueflite trans and a 8 1/4 2.45 gear rear that goes with the car upon sale. It has a 1965 383 500 hp. Engine. Transmission is a Cyclone F-2 727 torqueflite Race transmission. The Rear is a Dana 60 Trackloc with 3.73 gears 11 inch rear drums. This is an original Scottsdale, Arizona car. Completely rust free. Solid floors, 1/4's,fenders, trunk, etc. Comes with full documentation as in original build sheet, window sticker, Etc. Also have all receipts. This is a show and go car. It was built to show but I've always wanted a show car that wasn't just show and no go so I built a show and go car. Dyno was 503 hp. It has 300 miles on the driveline. Never raced but accelerates like you wouldn't believe. Scary fast actually.A little too fast for my likings. I'm 53 years old not 23 anymore lol. It has Keith blackflat valve relief 0.30 over pistons, Reground crank, Comp Cam street / strip. Roller rocker with flat tappet lifters. Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads. Edelbrock torker intake manifold, Summit racing 750 carb. Lokar linkage, Mopar Performance coil, Taylor 8mm wires, 1 7/8 ceramic coated headers, electric exhaust dumps at the header collector, 2 1/2 X pipe full exhaust with glass packs and resonator tips, Mopar performance race leaf springs. 6 leaf left 7 leaf right.$9000.00 in the engine alone. Custom drive shaft. Trans was $2100.00 and the rear was $2200.00 Nothing but the best parts used. Too much more brand new and OEMparts to list. Well over $35,000 invested all together and has be appraised at $32,000.This Charger wins just about every show I enter it in. With all this said. I don't need to sell this car so if it doesn't sell I'll keep it for a while longer. I just think it should be enjoyed more than what I can do with it. This is my 6th 3rd. gen Charger. I also had a 1970 years ago. I fix them up and then I sell them. It's my hobby. The Car is also featured on this web site for the louvers. The eagles are decals and can be removed. OEM RT tail lights. Original equipped hideaway headlights. http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/AST1026.htm
