This is a 1936 dodge 1 ton dump truck . These are rare trucks and this one is a very solid truck that is still functional. Due to being a southern Idaho truck the sheet metal is in very good shape. Usually these old trucks are rusted out and beat to death. This is by far one of the most solid straight old truck bodies I have seen. A little bit of surface rust as the pictures sho, but rock solid sheet metal . No rust out issues . The normal rust out ares like the rocker, floors, and door bottoms are in great shape. The worst part of the truck is the passenger front fender. Like all old original cars and truck this not without its bumps and bruise, but a very solid platform. At some point a skilled stainless steel fab guy built a really nice grill insert for it. So the grill insert is not original but very close to the original design. Still has the original ram radiator cap . Original flat head six with a three speed tranny still move the truck down the road. Motor runs really smooth and the tranny shifts like it should . Odometer only shows 42,495 miles. ( 6 volt electrical system) . Some new exhaust was added that is not original . Dump bed was manufactured by Hercules Evansville and works like it should. The crank up gears are in great shape without any broken parts. The bed raises and lowers very easily. Tailgate swing open as it should. The brakes pump up and hold but will need attention as they loose pressure after a couple of days. The Original emergency brake works great . Rear glass and driver door glass are both cracked. Windows go up and down and the windshield still pushes out for air flow. The lights are not working and will need attention. Overall this is a very complete old dodge dump truck . This is a unrestored barn find that runs stops and starts but will need a little attention depending on what someone wants to do with it.
