List of Negatives:
1.Paint in very poor shape all over van but especially bad on the top, some on the sides and back of van, these Ram Wagon Van's from these years were notorious for paint issues and should have been recalled, doesn't affect the performance in any way.
2.Clearcoat is failing in several locations with some places down to and past the primer with some surface rust beginning to form in places.
3.Both headlights are oxidized and discolored, and the front bumper is scuffed and discolored.
4.The school decals were poorly removed leaving behind an outline and scratches.
5.Dents along the bottom rocker panel on the driver's side behind the door.
6.Driver's bucket seat is well worn with a big hole and some foam missing where the driver would get in and out of the van, interior plastics are faded and scratched in places.
7.Hood support missing under hood.
8.Rear single door will not open with the inside or outside handle, probably come loose or broken inside and is usually a cheap fix.
This van until last month was owned since new by a local school district in our home state of Mississippi which is just about 60 miles from our location, was replaced with a new one within the last few months because of age, school district replaces vehicles due to a replacement schedule which takes age and miles into account.We purchased the van directly from the school district along with several more vehicles, not from an auction, dealer or broker, simply turning this one into cash.The van cranks right up on its own power, engine and transmission run and shift properly, running gear seems great, air conditioning blows cold, heat blows hot and unit is 100% roadworthy.As you can see in the photos and the list of negatives highlighted in yellow there are a few issues to point out, but there are also positive points to make, the van is an original one owner since new with 178K miles, van has also been on a fleet maintenance program since new and mechanically is in great shape, the van seats were removed at some point to make it a cargo van for hauling items, the double side door entry provides access to the extra-large cargo area (back door handle currently broken), tire condition can clearly be seen in the photos and shows fair to poor tire condition, it is time for a simple oil change/service but other than those items mentioned van is a true survivor and is completely roadworthy, the dodge vans are ugly but they are known to be a very tough and dependable van that are cheap to work on and fix, the 5.9 Liter V8 is a desirable workhorse engine and will give many more miles of good dependable service with a little care and maintenance, perfect for a work/cargo van.We are selling the van with a clean-clear title and bill of sale, it will crank up when you arrive to get it or someone arrives to transport, it is roadworthy and will drive down the highway!Please remember it is 24 years old, not new but does crank and run great, is not running hot, blowing/burning oil or anything like that, does not have any engine lights or warning lights on, has been on a maintenance schedule since new and seems to still have plenty of life left in it!
