1990 Dodge Ram 2500

This truck was abandoned for over 7 years at a businesswhen they put it up for sale on craigslist. I purchased this truck from them to use for parts. After spending some time cleaning the layers of dirt off of it I feel its WAY to nice of a truck to part out. I do NOT have a title but I have another '90 W250 cab with a title and will include it with this truck. Its up to you what you do with it after it leaves my hands......
According to car fax this truck spent a good amount of its life in Georgia and South Carolina, and it shows! The under side of vehicle is remarkably clean for a nearly 28 year old truck. The frame is in beautiful condition and appears it was painted at one time. The frame paint is peeling. Rockers and cab corners are solid as a rock. Unfortunately the drivers side vent window was open while it was parked, water pooled up on the drivers floor and rotted it through from the inside ou, but only in the drivers side front corner. Floor panels are available through LMC and very inexpensive. ($80... )The Bed is in awesome shape and seems as if this truck didn't do a days work in its life! No dents on the bed floor, tailgate, or bed rails and it looks like there was never a trailer hitch installed. The paint is obviously a repaint but has cleaned up quite nicely with just a little work and I'm not a professionaldetailer by any means. I know more time could be spent with a buffer to make it shine even better. I believe if someone took the time to wet sand the clear coat then the majority of the paint would be almost show quality. There is a deep scratch and a couple dings on passenger side door. Otherwise the rest of truck is pretty close to ding free. Door channel weatherstrips have seen better days but are available through LMC
It has a 360 throttle body injected V8 That does NOT run or even crank over. It appears it sat for over 7 years with no air cleaner. Moisture has found its way in even with the hood closed and I have not been able to turn the engine over. Its currently soaking with ATF and Marvel Mystery oil and so far she's still locked. The engine bay is all intact with the exception of the missing air cleaner. Even the air pump and plumbing down to the cats is all in place. The last reported Car fax in 2009 shows mileage @ 25K and that's what it currently shows. I was curious and tested the speedo / odometer. The speedo works but the odometer does not. It is un clear how many miles are on this truck but I would guess it to be low just by the general condition. The fuel tank is out and in the bed for reasons unknown,bad pump? I assume it was probably removed by same genius that left the air cleaner off!
The truck has a 3" Body Lift.
The interior is relatively clean. Even the seat has no rips or tears. Carpets are worn but LMC has them too. The dash is in very nice condition with no cracks. Everything electrical seems to work as it should... Lights, wipers, horn, heater blower, the truck has A/C but obviously untested.......
It has the A-518 overdrive trans . Dana 60 full floating rear / Dana 44 front axle.
20" Alloy wheels are pitted, Left front tire dry rotted but holds air. Left rear tire doesn't match.
I feel this truck could be brought to show quality with minimal effort, and / or a great candidate for a Cummins swap! The extra cab I am including was off a Dodge that had the cummins..... I researched applying for a title but I learned that abandoned vehicles are suppose to go up for auction by law in NJ. To protect the people I got it from and myself I have not applied for a title. So with that I'm listing this truck AS IS where is for parts only and will include another W250 cab with a clean title that can be used for parts as is where is.
Please spend the time to view the pics showing not only the problem areas but also other areas that are remarkably clea, for example the underside of doors,under bed, the chassis,and most of the cab floor.
Vehicle is not running and must be towed. I will assist your towing / shipping company when it comes time to pick up the vehicle.
