Description:
1971 Dodge Charger
This is a solid, rust free, matching #'s 1971 Charger "500". This is 1 of only 11,948 Charger 500's produced, and very few were built with this original color combination of Green metallic exterior w/ Green interior."Full frame-off rotisserie restoration" was completed in early 2015 & nothing was left untouched. This was a2 year restoration and over 25k in just parts and materials alone were invested. The bottom of this car is just as new and clean as the rest of this car. Factoryequipped w/ Power Steering & Power Brakes !! This Charger is truly one of a kind and in Like-New condition !!** EXTERIOR- Gorgeous Green metallic paint job on this beast !! Professionally sand blasted entire body, then 5 layers of top-quality paint and clear coat were applied. A must see to really appreciate it's beauty !! (This car gets so many compliments wherever I go, people say it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor)
** INTERIOR- Interior is all original and in like-new condition too, the only things replaced was the Carpet, Headliner and door sill plates. **P.S. The interior glove box was signed my MR. NORM (Mr. Norm Krause was the legendary king of Mopars hi-performance during this era) !!
** POWERTRAIN-Completely rebuilt 383 Magnum 4bbl / 335 hp w/ powder coated headers (mild cam)
-Completely rebuilt Automatic 727 torqueflite transmission (heavy duty clutches) w/ shift kit & new torque converter-Completely rebuilt Rear axle 489 case w/323 posi gears w/green axle bearings-Dual exhaust w/ flowmasters & machine gun tips (sounds really nice)
** ADDED TO VEHICLE TO ENHANCE LOOK AND/OR FUNCTIONALITY:-17" Rallye wheels w/ Nitto tires (for a much nicer look and drive)-1973 Bulge hood (again, added for a much nicer look)-Rear valance w/ exhaust cutouts-Electronic ignition added
** ALL NEWMaster cylinder, brakes pads & shoes, brake lines & hoses, brake hardware, rotors & drums, fuel lines, fuel tank, shocks, ball joints, all under body bushings including strut rod bushings, tie rods, carpet, headliner, door sill plates and many other parts listed in receipts folder for the restoration of body, engine, transmission, rear axle, etc.......
** CONS (all very minor)-Emergency brake does not work (due to cables were not reinstalled after restoration)-Original a.m. radio does not work (might be a fuse, never checked it because I prefer to use a bluetooth speaker in car instead of a.m. radio) -Power steering gear box has a very minor leak (barely noticeable)
I strongly encourage you to see this car in person as for the pictures do not do it much justice, you will not be disappointed !!This car has placed FIRST multiple times in it's categorized class (many compliments from the judges @ recent shows)Charger comes w/ original build sheet and many other misc. documents from build (I have a binder full of buildreceipts).I seriously believe this is one of the Nicest & Cleanest 1971 Chargers driving on the road today. This car looks incredible and drives real strong, just an awesome car allaround and lots of fun to drive !!
