1981 Dodge D250 Crewcab 2x4

Up for grabs is a 1981 Dodge D250 Crewcab 2x4.

I had been chasing this truck for a few years and was never able to purchase it. The previous owner finally made contact with me and decided he was ready to let it go.

Sadly, I currently have two other crewcabs in the construction stage and don't want another one waiting around. This one needs to go to somebody that will do something with it. As you know, if you are reading this, they are perfect for Cummins Conversions.

The truck started life with the U.S. Forest Service in Boise Idaho. The previous owner bought it at some point and used it for hauling his boat and Travel Trailer.

The truck was parked in 2009 and it has just sat since. I have pumped the old gas out of the tank and the engine does run. It has a 318 with a 4 Bbl Thermoquad carb, NP435 4Spd manual transmission and Dana 60 rear axle.

The body has some bumps and bruises consistent with Forest Service work and has some surface rust or patina as it's called now days but there is no rust through holes. Also notice, there is no undercoating on the bottom side of the floor of the cab or bed.

The prior owner installed captain's chairs and had to make a small cut the interior ridge of the floor pan where the factory seat sits. I have reinstalled the factory seat and it does not affect how the seat sits. The brake and clutch pedal are also a little sticky. The cross pin for the pedal pivot needs to be removed and greased up.

I don't have any history with this truck and make no guarantees about the engine or drive-train dependability. It may drive 5 feet or 5000 miles. It is not licensed, or insured. There is no warranty expressed or implied.

I will help with shipping where I can. I run a RV storage yard and I have room to park it for the winning bidder for 1 month at no charge. After that first month a $50.00 monthly fee will be applied.
