Description:

1969 Dodge Charger SHARP CAR!!!

1969 Dodge Charger “General Lee”

Car sat in a garage for 16 years the last 8 of those not driven.

It was made a General Lee I’m guessing in the late 80’s or early 90’s.

I clean/clear title in my name, was previously issued a new VIN number by Maryland State.

New Vin attached to driver door jamb and radiator support was re-stamped as well . The original VIN on dash and fender tag have been removed due to the re issued number.

There is no original VIN or fender tag however Rad Support and Trunk Lip do retain last digits of original VIN.

However original build sheet included.

The Charger was originally white and had a vinyl top of unknown color. It has power 12” drum brakes and power steering with no A/C.

It has factory dual exhaust mounting brackets.

(At the very least was a 383 4brl car).

This is quite possibly an R/T car and this is why we believe so:

Had a 4 speed pedal assembly (clutch pedal removed) and z bar mount on frame, but floor hump has been removed. It may not have been an original 4 speed either. Car also has stripe delete R/T emblem holes on ¼ panels, currently filled along with vinyl top trim holes. It is equipped with tic-toc gauge cluster, bucket seats, console and has hood mounted turn signals.

To compliment the General theme it has brush guard, cobra CB with trunk mount antenna, Dixie Horns, rear leaf spring shackles

Vance and Coy signed console door back in 2007.

This Charger has ’69 727 trans, a ’70 383 4 brl engine with the original Carter AVS and HP manifolds. The rear is an 8 ¾ with unknown single track gear ratio. The rear does have 10” brakes and the front is 11".

Engine, trans are NOT original to the car.

The engine runs strong! Does not smoke, knock or leak oil excessively ) and carries 40 ps of oil pressure after warmed up.

727 trans shifts fine, no issues and has stock valve body and converter. Here is a list of everything new/replaced/rebuild.

*AVS Carb Cleaned and Rebuild (works great choke, fast idle, etc. )

*Pro form electronic ign. Conversion (distributer, ign, box, ballast res. wiring etc)as a side note engine compartment wiring is not hacked up, it still has the original fusible links.

*Mopar constant output 13.5 volt. Reg.

*Taylor Street fire plug wires

*Taylor 40,000 volt coil

*60 amp alternator

*NGK plugs

*fuel/air filter

* 3/8 aluminum fuel line from tank to pump

*fuel pump “mechanical”

*Street fuel line pump to carb

*Water Pump

*Temp and Oil pressure gauge sending units

*Oil and filter

*Trans filter/fluid and pan gasket and dip stick resealed

*Trans selector shaft seal and bands adjusted

*Battery

*replaced radiator with good used 26” with shroud and external trans cooler (new antifreeze and 180 degree thermostat installed, anti-freeze mix needs to be increased currently only at zero degrees)

All new factory exhaust from manifolds back

*The gas tank and sending unit have been previously replaced and tank was undercoated
.

All lights on the car work. Inside and out

The vacuum operated headlights open and close. The instrument panel gas, oil, temp and volt gauges work. Factory horns and Dixie horns all work too. The tic-tock is not currently working.

Overall it’s very solid. The frame rails, torsion bar mounts, inner fenders, battery tray area, trunk extensions are very solid, no rust or holes. It has NEVER had the 1/4panels replaced. The side panels, around the windows and tail light panel are solid. Floor pans look solid from underneath. The doors open and shut well. Windows roll up and down and the doors, trunk, hood lips are all clean.

Brand new interior.
All new paint and decals
New door locks, handles.
Needs a new headliner and some detailing under the hood
