1978 Dodge Custom 15, All Original Survivor
For sale here is my 1978 Dodge Custom 150, PU truck.
All original Survivor. The factory paint that is on this truck is called { Fly Yellow }.
Condition is good for this vintage. Truck is all original with 58,000 orig. miles.
Motor is a 318 : Trans is a three speed standard on the column. 8' bed.

Recently done repairs done are as follows : 1 through 5 Items.
1: New clutch, pressure plat, throw out bearing and the flywheel has been turned.
2: New U joints,
3: New heater core
4: New Tires.
5: Carburetor rebuilt.

This truck with it's original paint accept for the top has been painted Black, has very straight original body panels . With the exception of the front right fender. There is a small crease above the wheel well. See photo's. Bed is also straight and not all beat up from hauling cargo. The original owner had a camper top on it, this is what keept the bed in such great condition over all . Tail gate is solid and opens and closes properly
The original condition of the paint will begin to oxidizes within six months when left outside. And is waring thin in places from years of polishing as may be expected.
I did a deoxidation wash to the paint and waxed it to the shine you see in the photo's.
Rust is very minimal, some pin holes starting at the top edge of the bed wheel openings and small spot in front lower right side fender. see photo's. Undersides of doors is very slight surface rust but still fairly clea, see photo's. And as I stated the paint is original accept for the black top. And there has been no crashes or repaint work ever done on this truck what so ever, so what you see is exactly what you get in It's otherwise complete originality .

All glass is great condition. Windows roll up and down well and they are tinted as well. Front windshield has a nice clear view as can be seen in photo. A previous owner has installed a sliding back glass window.
The interior is in very good original condition as well, left side of drivers seat has a small spot ware the black vinyl is peeled off the fabric but no holes, and a small slightly worn spot, See Photo's . I removed the seat cover I had on it to show pic's of the orig seat. The cover for the seat is of nice quality and goes with the sale of this truck.
All lights and signals work with the exception of the left back up light doesn't work

The Photo's posted here are a good part of this trucks description, and I have many more available upon request .

Truck engine runs very strong. Drives and stops very well. I don't hesitate to drive this truck any ware I need to go with it. I've owned this truck for over seven years and has never let me down. I don't drive it a whole lo, I have other cars I drive as well, but she's always ready to go when I need her.
The issues with the truck that I have just live with are as follows : 1 through 4 Items.
1: The shift linkage sometimes hangs up and sometimes tough to pull down into 1st gear. Three speed colum shifts seem to give these kind of issues from my past experiences with them. Maybe new bushings would help ? Or simply drop the shifter to the floor as I have seen some guys do. I'm just used to the way it is and drive it !
2: The parking brake is inoperable. Cables to the rear wheels are seized but the engine has enough compression to keep it from rolling when parked with it in gear, And I do park it on a slight hill in my driveway. :
3: The fuel gage is unreliable along with when tank is full it tends to leak at the top a little. The fuel tank is a plastic tank, so I'm going to assume the leak is most likely up around the gage or vent hose, something like that ? I didn't investigate that matter, I just don't fill it all the way up is all.
4: The heater control cable is broken. I just shut it off & on at valve under the hood for summer / winter.

Come take a look at it or get a non bias outside inspection.
