1960 Dodge Polara
I have for sale. 1960 Dodge Polara 4 door sedan rough but restorable. From the Canadian prairies it is a sound frame car with plenty of rubber undercoating. I will try to explain the true condition of the car to the best of my knowledge starting with the good and then the bad.
Good: frame is solid and most of the floor/trunk is good. I found some holes in passenger rear under seat area. please see pictures. This is a Canadian polara equipped with a 361 v8 and "matador" interior trim. Please view serial number and body tag number for specifics. The very rust freedrivers front fender appears to have been changed at some time ago as it has some green paint underneath the exteriorblue. The car is equipped with swivel front seats.
Bad: the car has fin damage on the passenger side from an unfortunate transport. When loading on flat deck truck the trucker placed a chain over the fins and tightened them down causing significant damage to fins as seen in the pictures. Trunk area is good except the trunk hinge mounting area on passenger side had a rodent nest in it that has rusted out the mounting surface for the hinge. See pictures. The engine is dry seized. The transmission is missing from the car. The previous owner might have been converting it to a standard because there is a clutch pedal / brake pedal installed and I found the factory auto trans brake pedal assembly in the trunk. The car is a "roller" It does not have any working brakes. It does not run or drive. The passenger front door hinge was bent by myself when I tried to close the door and the "detent" would not release. This door does not close properly.
This is a project car that is has now been listed at the same time as a second 1960 Dodge POLARA from my collection. please look for my other Polara listing and consider buying them both.
