Description:

1966 Dodge Coronet

A one-of -a kind survivor. This 1966 Dodge Coronet is 99% original including paint, patina and full wheel covers, and no windshield dings. Original 318 Poly wide block was restored to better than new condition. Has original 2 barrel carburetor and single exhaust and factory air. Transmission has been restored with less than 5K on motor and transmission. Like new PR195-70R14 Michelin Radials. Power steering and manual brakes. Original push button AM radio. It is licensed and inspected. Drive itanywhere as is, or if you know anything about Poly's, with very little modifications, i.e. 4-barrel and dual exhaust, you can make it a hot rod. It is all original now, including jack in the trunk, spare, interior, etc. No aftermarket radio or door speakers or any other alterations have been done to this vehicle. As you can see in the pictures the Chrysler paint from this era has worn thin and primer is showing on the roof, hood and trunk. Add a paint job and you have a show stopper, or enjoy driving it with the original paint and patina and enjoy the looks from other drivers.Lots of chrome on this car and it is all in great shape.
This would make a unique Dallas Cowboys tailgating vehicle. Pile all of your buddies in and head to the game. The trunk is big enough to fit a queen size mattress, and a barbeque grille! 'Aint nobody has one of these at the games! It comes with an "official" Dallas Cowboys blanket I use for a seat cover.
I recently replaced the original odometer (picture shown) which has the original vehicle miles. I have put 700-800 additional miles on the replacement odometer. This vehicle is just like it was when granny drove it to church. A few minor bumps and bruises but no major body damage and absolutely no rust. This is a Fort Worth, TX vehicle (original dealer sticker still visible) and it has not been too far from it's original home from what I can tell. This is a 50 year old vehicle that is not perfect but is mechanically sound and is a very solid daily driver as is, or make it into whatever your creativity desires. It is fun to drive and gets lots of stares and thumbs up going down the road...and rarely does anyone under 35 years old even know what a Coronet is, much less a 318 Poly. Most parts are readily available for the car. I hate to sell this car but I need the money to finish my 1970 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup project. Don't wait on this one, it will be gone.
