Description:

1971 Dodge Charger R/T

Presented for auction is my 1971 Dodge Charger R/T. It was sold new in California and spent most of its life on the west coast. An original 440 4-BBL Magnum Engine with a Hemi 4-speed transmission and 3.54 Dana rear finished in factory Plum Crazy purple paint and black interior. All numbers matching except the engine block which is a correct date coded G440 HP assembled 2 weeks before the scheduled assembly date of the car. You can't get closer than that. The motor comes with it's original 1971 date coded correct parts including intake and exhaust manifolds. The carburetor is a new Edelbrock Performer but I will include the original Carter AFB which will need rebuilding.. Everything else matches including the trans, fender tag, VIN tag, body cowl and radiator stampings. I also have a real nice build sheet which documents this as a true Plum Crazy Charger R/T 440 4-Speed.
The engine and trans were recently rebuilt (I have receipts) and the car starts right up and idles smoothly. All gauges have been tested and work great! Even the tachometer is fully operational. About the only thing that doesn't work is the Am/Fm radio.
The interior is in amazing condition with no rips or tears. Dash pad is mint with no cracks. The car was painted about 12 years ago and is starting to show it's age. The car is very straight and still shines brilliantly but there are a few nicks and blemishes here and there.Tires are new BF Goodrich Radial T/As.
I have a binder full of paperwork which includes receipts, factory sales literature, previous owner history, and other documents. A real nice driver that will place at your locar car show or cruise night.
The reserve is set low and will likely be met so bid to own. Please note that this car is being sold in "as-is" condition. Check my feedback and you will see that I am a car hobbyist and have sold many high end Mopars, all with very happy customers. Inspections are welcome before the auction ends, but once the action is over and the reserve is met, you will be contractually obligated to purchase the car. Shipping is the purchasers responsibility but I will help out on this end anyway I can. Thanks for looking and Good Luck!
