Description:

1977 Dodge B200 Sportsman Maxiwagon

This 1977 Dodge B200 3/4 ton Maxiwagon is well optioned and plenty virgin.

440 engine w/Torqueflite transmission.

3.23 9.75" Dana limited slip rear axle with 5 lug wheels.

Factory trailer towing package with an added Reese receiver (It towed a car 100 miles once and never towed anything else.).

Power steering and front power disc brakes.

Dual air and heat.

Sunscreen rear windows.

Cruise control.

Two tone paint.

The engine or transmission have never been out of it.

The paint is almost all original. The tan insert on the passenger side was painted below the rearmost window and on the two doors plus some copper around the right rear wheel opening and that is the only paintwork it has ever hadafter it was built atthe assembly plant.

Underhood decal states it was originally equipped with chrome wheels, oo, nd the decal is still legible and in place.

While the exterior has suffered from exposure, his van would be hard to replicate and is atrue find for the right person.

The engine ran smoothlythough it hasn't been started in about 4 years due to a stale fuel problem.

I rebuilt the original carb but then ran stale fuel through it after errantly thinking all was out of the tank so it may needsome renewed attention though likely just a top removal and some gumout spray to loosen it up. The oversize fuel tank should probably be removed and cleaned as well.

It comes with a new fuel pump and remanufactured alternator as well as remanufactured front calipers, ew disc pads, nd new front brake hoses. A used fuel sending unit come with it too as the original is faulty.

The radiator was serviced about five years ago.

The engine oil was changed at regular intervals.

The trans fluid was too.

This van is a great candidate for a full restoration as it is stock, argely complete, nd mostly intact. I haven't seen one of these after a full restoration ever so this could make a one of a kind tow vehicle for someone if that were done to it!

While this body style was an iconic presence in the 70s and 80s, ew had the 440 and even fewer exist now. When did you last see or hear of one? If so, as it as complete and virginal as this one? Also worth mentioning is that there wouldn't need to be a lot of difficult parts chasing for this one's restoration.

It wouldn't take a lot of effort to get it driveable again either.

It was purchased in 1985 w about 50,000 miles on it and now shows about 137,000.

I will take more pics as interest dictates and time permits.

Questions? Please ask.

It's located and can be seen in the Saint Louis Missouri metro area and has been in this area its whole life.
