Restoration Photos. Restoration Receipts SELLER REMARKS In 1970. the Dodge Super Bee's look changed. but the mission stayed the same: high performance at a reasonable price. This beautifully restored trophy-winner continues that tradition with correct 440 Six Pack big block performance. a long list of options including the desirable A33 Trak Pak group. tons of documentation. and a great look that proves Mopars only get better with age. It is also only a two owner car with the current owner having it since 1978. Muscle cars were never about subtlety. so why not go all-out? This gorgeous Super-Bee wears a correct coat of Sub-Lime and a high-contrast bumblebee stripe to great effect. Borrowing some styling tips from big brother Charger. the new Super Bee was altogether more sophisticated in 1970. beginning with a twin-grille look that would become a Mopar hallmark for the better part of that decade. All the steel on this car has been finessed into shape. probably better than new given how Chrysler was bolting stuff together back then. and it looks fantastic. It's still a big car. too. with those massive quarter panels being the perfect place to show off your metalworking talents. so they're arrow-straight underneath the reproduction decals. The shine of the paint is brilliant. leaving no doubt as to where the $40. 00 spent on bodywork was spent. The chrome is in outstanding condition. proving that this car has always been a favorite toy. and all the proper decals and Super Bee emblems are in place. Basic was hardcore in 1970. but this Super Bee got a long list of upgrades starting with a set of white bucket seats. New seat covers and door panels look great and replicate the originals exactly. while black fresh carpets and a new dash pad are part of the reason this one is so popular with the judges. The gauges are bright and crisp and still fully functional. including the Tick-Tock-Tach. and it only reinforces this car's solid history. The woodgrained dash probably won't convince anyone it's real lumber. but it's correct for the car and works great with the pistol-grip shifter atop the 4-speed manual gearbox. A correct Music Master AM radio remains in the dash. again reinforcing this car's bargain-priced performance attitude. The trunk is quite neatly finished with a new mat. matching wheel and tire. as well as a full jack assembly. Performance was definitely part of the package when they redesigned the Super Bee. and this one packs a warranty-replacement 440. which was installed when the car had just 9350 miles on the clock. Combined with Six Pack induction the A33 Trak-Pak. it made for a formidable performer. Rebuilt to stock specs. it barks to life with a great rumble from the twin pipes out back and someone spent the time to get the three deuces idling properly. Highly detailed with Hemi Orange paint on the block. beautifully restored exhaust manifolds. and all the correct bits and pieces. it should be no surprise that this one is popular on the show field. too. It's backed by the original 4-speed manual feeding an Dana 60 rear with 3. 54 gears on a Sure-Grip limited slip. which were all part of the Trak-Pak group. The suspension was upgraded as well. and you really should take a moment to admire the neatly finished floors. which feature overspray in all the right places. Classic Magnum 500 wheels dress it up. and wear 245/60/15 Cooper radials. but the original 14-inch wheels are available. too. Documentation includes the original Chrysler Corporation broadcast sheet. Galen Govier paperwork. maintenance records. restoration receipts. and photos. making this an investment-grade Super Bee that just couldn't be duplicated for the asking price.
