Now up for sale is a rare iconic piece of American automotive muscle car history.This classic beauty, purchased by me in 2019 in Dallas, TX, boasts a clean title with only two previous owners. I personally drove this car back to Houston the day I bought it( seenin the uploadedvideo )where it has been meticulously preserved and cared for in a private, weatherproof storage facility. · 95% Mechanically Complete:The car is nearly ready to hit the road. The only task remaining is setting the timing on the newly rebuilt engine. Once completed, this DeSoto willfire up anddrive like it just rolled off the factory line in 1957.

Final Thoughts:This 1957 DeSotoFiresweepis a rare diamond ready to shine. As you can see in the video, I drove the car back from Dallas to Houston the day I bought it and it was put into my private storage where it began its journey of restorations. It has not left the storage since then and has been kept in excellent care unaffected by any weather ( see photo of it in my storage next to my other 2 classics ).
Reason for selling this car:up until two months ago, I had every intention on keeping this car and completing the full restoration. Unfortunately and not by my own choice I can no longer work on this project due to unforeseen and drastic circumstances in my family. Setting the timing will require some engine disassembly, more time and energy which I can no longer do. I now must pass the torch and hope this great car will go to a muscle car enthusiast like me, that has a similar vision and will finish the restoration to its full potential.
With the majority of the heavyexpenses incurred, and the time consuming laboralready done, this car is just 3 short steps away ( set the engine timing, new paint, install the new carpets and seat covers ) from being a beautiful masterpiece. I was planning on painting and completing this Desoto like the red-wine / white Desoto in the photo. What a head turner and attention grabber it would be.
