1951 DeSoto Custom
I bought this car in 1976, t cost me $150, t has done very well, lways started, ar had been converted to a 12 volt, ut could be reverted back to 6 volt, here has been 2 repaintings done to it, resent paint is pained over a paint that was yellow, ith white top. The front brakes is recently rebuilt, eems to be working good. body is straight, o dents. has been just driven, ike to go shopping, asual driving, here is a second DeSoto just like it being used as parts, hat could go with it, nd a sun visor above windshield is still here, he engine compartment has not been restored, ut the engine was rebuilt in about 1982. Has run good since, never put a whole lot of miles on it, ransmission works good, t has what was called a tip toe shift, hen car get up to 20 miles an hour, ift foot off gas and then it shifts with 2 electrical solonoids .
