The BasicsThe time has come for me to part ways with my 1976 Datsun 610 - I’ve loved this car, and think it’s truly something special, but need something that’s a bit more practical for my daily driver. I’m the 4th owner - I’ve owned the car for just over a year, and purchased it from a PNW Datsun enthusiast that put a lot of work into it! The car has been a joy to drive, with tight steering and no alignment issues. It’s got some incredible original details and documentation of its history - since owning, I haven’t seen another 610 that’s in as good condition. It has been a West Coast car from the beginning, and there’s no rust!
The car has a known issue, and it was recommended to not drive the car until fixed. The flexplate to torque converter connection has lost 3 of the 4 bolts, and will need a new flexplate. This work has been estimated at $2600 by a shop in Berkeley, but could be taken on by someone more handy than I.

- 2.0-liter 4-cylinder numbers matching engine, rebuilt in October 2020 (about 1,200 miles ago). Work done by Sunwest Automotive Engine of Spokane, WA
- Weber 32/36 DGEV electric-choke carburetor
- 14-inch American Racing wheels (185/60R14) on the car, but sale will include the original 13-inch steel wheels w/ original wheel covers.
- Rear shocks replaced in 2018.
- Paint respray in 2018 to original #141 Dark Green Metallic
- Odometer rolled over - displays 13,021, true mileage is 113,020.
- Heater and radiator hoses, heater valve replaced in March 2023.
