This 1977 Datsun 280Z 2+2
Power comes from the original, fuel injected L28E, 150 HP straight six paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. The seller says the engine starts quickly, idles smoothly and quietly, and revs throughout the gears with good throttle response. The transmission is healthy as well, with postive gear engagement, smooth changes, and no bad noises.
It was purchased new in Hawaii by a schoolteacher and moved with her to Oregon in the late ’80s. Shortly afterward it was put into storage where it sat for several years before being purchased by the second owner in 2001. This is a very clean example with no rust or evidence of accident repair with what the seller believes has 39k miles from new. The car was restored in the early 2000s with a professional respray in its original Sky Blue and new upholstery. Used minimally and garage parked since, the car features factory alloy wheels and the seller says it is strong running and turn-key. 3rd owner purchased the car on bring a trailer 8 years back, I purchased the car last year for my daughter.. she ended up getting a new car. With to many cars in the family and no space to park it it’s time to sadly let her go . Great car gets lots compliments when we drive .. it needs to go to a good home now.
