Vehicle Details1976 Datsun 280z 4spd manual. This appears to be an original 53k mile car - it has been off the road since 1987. Hard to find this in this original and true condition. It does not currently run, but would imagine it won’t take very much to get it going if you are mechanically inclined - it’s all there. I suspect the original owner took it off the road due to a blown clutch and just never got around to getting it going again being it most likely became a please vehicle rather than a daily around that time. From my understanding I am the 3rd owner of the car. Very nice solid original project. Floors appear to be all good, the front fenders have rot on the bottom (I have an extra set of rust free fenders that can be thrown in for the right price). Bottom of the doors have some rust, but from the looks of it mostly surface - the paint just peeled off making it look worse than it is. Shock towers all look good. The car appears to have been sprayed it’s original color once - it actually has great patina as is. The body is surprisingly very straight for its age. The roof has a few dents. This is a numbers matching car. The rear drums were frozen when I purchased it, so I removed all the drum internals to break things free enabling the car to roll freely now. Brand new tires just installed. With a good cleaning, the interior is in fantastic shape. No dash cracks - the dash appears to be all original - I do not see any torque marks on any of the dash screws. I do not see any evidence of any accidents or repairs - the front top of the hood looks to have had some minor work. I have what I believe to be the original ignition key, but only turned 1 notch, so just incase it does not work I am throwing a brand new ignition cylinder in with 2 keys as well - I have no door keys. The drivers door outer handle does not work. Glass and moldings good. Rubber does not appear dry rotted. I had very strong ambitions on getting this car running and driving this summer, but plans have changed unfortunately. (Plates on the car in photos were from my dads 76 Z when he purchased the same car new, they will not go with the car).Please ask questions prior to purchase.
