1974 Datsun 260z, lady owned since 1977, California car, looks and drives good!

1974 Datsun Z-Series

Here we have a 1974.5 Datsun 260z with a 3-speed automatic transmission. This is the Coupe version. The car has been in storage in a garage since 2001. When we picked it up there was vermin nests here and there, and some very unpleasant odors. We have tried to remove these but even though its 90% better, they still exist.We purchased this car from the longtime owner who bought it in N.California at a Toyota store in 1977. She is the 2nd owner. We have receipts that go back to 1977 and up to 2001 when she parked the car. There has been a bunch of work done to this car over the years which is all documented. The original engine was replaced in the 90s with a 280z used motor which we have invoice. The engine was replaced at 172000 miles. As far as we can see the chassis has 232000 miles. The carbs were also replaced at the same time. The rear end was gone thru and many bushing and so forth were replaced over the years.
When we got the car back to our shop we cleaned the the engine bay, put new fuel and checked the fluids and she fired right up. I have driven the car on the local side roads and all major mechanics work fine. The tires will need replacing, a major service will need to be done, but overall she's a solid car that needs some TLC. Could be freshened up and driven as is or a great solid restoration project. We have looked the body over and no signs of any major rust, just surface from what we can see.I have a bunch more pictures that can be emailed to serious buyers. Overall this is probably as good a body as you will find in unrestored condition, mechanics all operate the way they should with good oil pressure and operating temperature. Dash has many cracks and will need cap or replacement. Seats are torn, carpets are old, door panel have splits. Headliner is good. All glass is good, chrome is in decent shape. 1 repaint back in either 80s or 90s which is old. All panels are straight and look to be rust free. Has original spare wheel and either tool kit or jack in compartment behind passengers seat.
