Price: - Item location: Danville, California, United States
Description:

1973 Datsun Z-Series Chrome

Welcome, you are bidding on a recently inherited original owner garage kept unrestored unmodified survivor. This car was purchased new from the Ellis Brooks dealership in San Fransisco by a Sausalito resident where it's remained the last 48 years. Car still retains original license plates and dealer frame. This is a numbers matching car as seen in photos. All lights are functional and could be used as a daily driver if desired.
Engine/Transmisson: Original engine makes great power. Car needs to be choked for about 5 minutes when warming up and then good to go. Engine still retains original carburetors and work good. Automatic transmission shifts smoothly thru the gears. Engine number stamp match's ID plate as seen in photos.
Body/Paint: This is a silver 901 paint code car as seen on foil sticker. The rear half of the car retains original paint. Front right fender was damaged and repaired at one point. Both front fenders and hood were repainted at that time. The gaps and lines are good on the car except were the repair was done were the door and fender meet. Door still opens and closes fine. No body rust or rot. A couple little small surface spots as seen in photos.
Interior/Gauges: Excellent interior. No cracks on the dashboard. Door panels, center console and steering wheel are in great original shape. Drivers seat has some wear around the edge as seen in photo, passenger is good. I can't get rear hatch open. All carpeting and interior in that area is good. Odemter and speedometer are working properl. Tach is stuck at 3. Fuel, Oil pressure, and amp gauge are working properly. Temp gauge not working. Clock works good. Center console push light and choke light still work. Original radio and speakers work.
Overall: Great Original car getting hard to find. Car is located by San Fransisco/Port of Oakland. I can help with any shipping or drive it home. Please view the car in person prior to bidding if you are local and need to. This will be a no reserve auction. Bid with confidence, high bidder wins it. Thanks, Dan

Hello all, I had the Z professionally appraised by CAA (Classic Auto Apraiser) out of Pleasanton, California yesterday, April 2, 2019. Every part of the car was looked over and 125 photos were taken. Car was appraised at $17,850. I will have the printed out 20 page report to include with the sale for your insurance or reference purposes. Also you can call me if you'd like to see parts of the report before purchase. Report shows that car is virtually rust free. Car may sell for less or more, highest bidder will win being that there is no reserve. Thank you and all the best, Dan 925 413 4049.
