This Datsun is in exceptionally great shape. This is a second owner same family Datsun passed from a uncle to the nephew. The body had one respray in the early 90's to fix a few road nicks and scratches. Never in an accident, straight and clean body, has a few dings and scratches but all original panels. Clean body lines; all doors open and close smooth and tight.
I purchased it from the nephew. He had plans for years to restore and enjoy this car but never had the spare money to do so. When I got it, the car was pretty oxidizedand it had normal wear on the interior. I had the paint buffed and polished. It is not perfect butlooks great. There are a few spots where the paint was buffed through due to the heavy oxidation (You will see some lighter spots in the pictures). Old carpet was removed and as you can see the floors are beautiful. It has one of the cleanest original floors I have ever seen.
New carpet installed and new seat upholstery. Top dash cap and new center console (original part from Nissan). The interior and engine bay are original paint. Only the outside was resprayed in the 90's. The motor fires right up and runs great, smooth idle, strong accelerationeverything you should expect from a Datsun z-series. 5-speed Transmission shifts smooth in all gears the clutch feels great and no issues with the rear end. Has original drivetrain; this Z was very well maintained untilthe original owner's passing. It was stored in a garage for severalyears untilit was given to the nephew and then the nephew stored it outside for a couple years. When I got it I put new tires, a new fuel pump, a basic tune up, and it was running beautifully andready to go.
I took many detailed pictures from the undercarriage to show it is straight and rust free (The inside floors showing the original straight clean paint, the engine bay showing it's clean and straight, frame rails clean, undamaged core supportwith factorystickers and clean battery tray, the interior showing the fresh upholstery).
There are a couple pictures towards the end of the day when I got it and the very last photo is a picture of a pieceof wood I found in one of the rear storage areas behind the seat. It looks like it is from the factory (has VIN info, paint code and shows its age).
