1978 Datsun Z-Series

A fine example of the classic 280Z 2+2 in amazing preserved condition. I bought the car from a friend, the original owner in July 2018. My friend is very particular about his cars, drove this one mainly for pleasure and on weekends for a total of only 52,000 miles. Always garaged and maintained by the local dealer. Most amazing is that it has even maintained its' 'new car smell. Ziebart rustproofed when new, the only rust is on the drivers side lower rear quarter panel (shown in pics). An all origina, matching numbers vehicle.
The body is strait as an arrow, the original paint is in remarkable shape for a 40 year old vehicle, but is not perfect. The glass is all original with no pits or cracks. All chrome is shiny and in excellent condition. All exterior light lenses in excellent condition and do not show their age. The wheel covers are near perfect with no road rash.
Equipped with the Bosch L Jetronic Injection inline 6 cylinder matching numbers engine. Coupled with optional 5 speed manual transmission and factory air conditioning. AM/FM factory stereo radio. Power antenna. Rear window defroster.
Flawless condition super clean all original interior. The door panels, headliner and dash do not show signs of wear. No cracks in dash or vinyl. Cigarette lighter and ash trays have never been used. All gauges including clock work as they should. The spare tire, jack and tool kit have never been used or removed from the vehicle.
Not driven for the past five years, the following services were just professionally done to return it to road ready status: New tires and battery. New Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders. New Brake Master Cylinder. New front brake rotors and pads. New Distributor/Rotor. New spark plugs and wires. New injectors. New exhaust and muffler. Complete tune up and fresh oil change. The power antenna motor runs but the shaft does not extend, most likely due to a broken or unattached cable. Owners manual and other related documents included. Clear Missouri title. 2 original keys with vintage fob.
A more original, practically one owner vehicle at this price- and with this low mileage- may not exist. An identical model but with only 2K miles recently sold at auction for $49K.
