1971 Datsun Z-Series

This is a 1971 Datsun 240Z . Series1 1/2 . Vertical defroster glass,,gas door with catch, fiberglass headlight buckets. Arizona rustfree with what I think is even the original paint .Before I part it out into a million pieces and scatter it around the world, I will list it here on eBay. As you can see, it is a project, It will not get you home from here. Well, it would not get you across the street. It was a work in progress for someone in the past. When, where, why I do not know. I do know it probably is the most rustfree early Z I have had, or seen, in years. Many many years. This body is a beauty. Flat rustfree floors, nice rails, inner and outer rockers There are some scrapes and scratches in the rear part of the floor pan where it looks like it was dragged up on a trailer or flatbed and the bed hit the floor there. Not bad at all but I want to point that out. Also, the front and rear wheelwells have been cut out for bigtime flares. There are screw holes in the rear but there are no flares with the car. Whether they ever were on or not, I know not . So you can just finish off the flares and keep building something custom.. Or you can replace the front fenders and deal with the rear wheelwells . But with a body this straight, this rustfree you will come out a winner either way. There are many many loose parts that came off the car included, Radiator, rear bumper, grille, hood hinge assembly, the other fiberglass headlight bucket, a ver, very nice lower center valance, the other corner turn signal valance. brake calipers, seat belts, driveshaft, etc, etc. All included. The seats in the car are long, long overdue for rebuild or replace. There is a late 280Z engine kind of sitting in the engine bay Mounted to factory brackets but with a block of wood holding it up in the rear. Because the 5 speed transmission is out, but included. The L28 engine has a N47 cylinder head, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate are attached. . The previous owner said he knew it was a good running engine, but you know how that goes. There is some kind of spray in foam in the right rear inner wheelwell below the floor level. Why, I do not know. But it is there .There are missing parts I know of. No intake manifol, no heater system, no engine bay electrical wiring,,no carbs, missing linkage from the gas pedal up, no front bumper, no steering wheel, signal, headlight, ignition etc switches, most of the interior panels, though the door panels are there,.And seeing I have only had the car for a week or so, I imagine there are many more missing parts than I am aware of. There is some kind of homemade instrument/gauge console laved in the center area where the heater control radio go. So that stuff s missing also. There are a bunch of rocker and toggle switches laying on the passenger side of that console. Why, where, what, I have no clue. But with a body this rustfree, this nice, other than than hack attacks on the wheelwells, a L28 engine with a 5 speed tranny, this has a lot going for it.Start with the best body you can find and this fits the bill. This is more body shell on suspension than car, so only think about this is if you understand that. This is a total project. This is a builder. Not a driver. Or even close. I have a straight clean Arizona title in my name. I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close for reasonable money. . And can arrange trucking to Long Beach California shippers for overseas buyers for $300. Clean straight title.$1000 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment due with 7 days
