1973 Datsun Z-Series 240Z

This 1973 Datsun 240Z has 123k miles and was partially restored by the previous owner. The selling dealer finished the work, which included a repaint, new body rubber, and numerous pieces of new trim. The matching numbers 2.4 liter inline-six was rebuilt and is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox fitted with a new clutch. The car has been mildly modified with upgraded shocks and suspension bushings, lowering springs, and earlier-type bumpers and carburetors. It runs and drive well and is now offered with a clean title.
The car was repainted in what is said to be its original color by the previous owner. The upgraded suspension lowers the car about one inch and gives it a nice stance over the stock steel wheels and wheel covers. The bumpers are new and are not fitted with overriders. All of the body rubber and seals are new as well, though the glass is original.
The brightwork is complete and holds a good shine.
The interior appears stock apart from an aftermarket radio. The seats use factory-style vinyl with metal grommets, and the steering wheel and shifter both appear correct. The carpets are new and the dash is free of cracks.
The 2.4 liter inline-six was rebuilt during the restoration and uses earlier style carburetors with a factory air box. The engine bay is nicely detailed, and many surfaces show intact zinc protective plating. The engine is color-matched to the body rather than painted the stock turquoise. The 4-speed manual gearbox has been fitted with a new clutch.
Engine is confirmed as original by the chassis tag.
The underside of the car is finished in black, and there is no evidence of rust or past accidents.
