1971 Datsun Z-Series
This is a rare MKI 240z. These were only made in 1970 and 1971. They are the lightest of all the z cars. due to their scarcity and inherent lightness, they are the most sought after z cars and are worth the most when restored. They are a great candidate for an engine swap and racing. This car was in the process of being disassembled for an engine swap and a cage but plans have changed. all the major parts to put it back on the road are included with the sale. The l24 was running when removed from the car.There is major rust in the floorpans and rocker arms but only surface rust everywhere else. The battery tray and rear sill is fine. The previous owner welded expanded metal over the rust holes in the driver and passenger footwells.
All the glass is good, the carburetors are the round 4 screw type, the transmission shifts through all four gears and reverse. I have an l28 with a 5 speed for extra if the winning bidder wants to make an "invisible" upgrade.
