1970 Datsun Z-Series

This 1970, 240Z is an original Glendale, California car where the 350 engine was installed in the mid eighties but for reasons unknown was placed in storage for about 25 years. I purchased it about eighteen months ago from the person who purchased it from the storage business where it was stored for all those years. He got it running and driving and installed new seat covers and headliner. The engine has the factory original Edelbrock intake and four barrel carb. The engine numbers I'm told, indicate it came from a Corvette or Camaro. I have never insured it and only drove it one time on the day I purchase it for about ten miles. It runs great and shifts through all four gears smoothly. There was a very faint, "tink, tink" sound when it shifts to another gear which I suspect is a universal joint. I inspected the underside of it and could see novisiblerust issues on the rails and the floor pans are in excellent condition. There is a very small, bubbled ares that's about 4 inches long, on the corner of the rear hatch lid, (see picture) and both original bumpers has a very small about or surface rust but both a straight and could easily be re-chromed. The red paint is not original and was repainted before it was stored. There are a few scratched, etc and a place on the driver's door where the paint needs to be touched up. All in all, the paint still looks good. The original ignition switch has been replace with a keyed, push button and the original, wood steering wheel is really nice. I have been playing with Z cars since the eighties and know most things about them and this is a very good car. Please call me and I will answer your questions and I can help to arrange your shipping if needed. My cell # is 843 450 6512. Thanks, Tom.

When I purchased it, the previous owner gave me enough matching material to cover the door panels (door cards). I will include this material with the purchase. The material is the black diamond style that matches the headliner.
