CLEAN GEORGIA TITLE TRANSFERABLE TO ANY STATE
Here is a rare opportunity to own a collector Mini Fire Truck from Japan. This is a 1991 Daihatsu Hijet 4WD Mini Fire Service Truck with a Tohatsu Fire Pump. I have only seen a couple of these make it to the US in all the years I have been into mini trucks. With only 5800 miles, we still went through everything and not to our surprise it was mechanically flawless. 4WD has been fully function tested and is fully operational and performs as intended. Sirens,Lights, and PA system are all operational and still hooked up. There is a nice little storage box under the jump seat. On either side of the jump seat is additional storage with drop down gate. It appears that "rolled-up" discharge hoses may have been stored there in the past. No discharge hoses came with the truck, only the suction hose seen coiled on the side of the truck. There are 2 brass nozzles mounted on the right side of truck along with 1 longer fog-fan spray nozzle, a ladder and a few other misc tools.
THERE IS NO WATER TANK ON THIS TRUCK
Japanese mini trucks have a reputation for there indestructability and reliability and for that reason they are relied on in Japan for Fire Service because of their very mountainous and hilly terrain. They also have very narrow roads in some areas. These trucks can be relied on go off road and get into tight areas. At 54" wide they are the same width as a side by side or ATV and are becoming increasingly popular by off-roaders. 2" lift kits are readily available here in the US along with 12" wheels and 23" - 25" A/T or Mud tires.
My hope is that someone will buy this as a collector but I certainly see the other great possibilities for it, especially with the jump seat in the back, I can see where a hunter or a beach goer or a tail gater might get excited. The pump also sits on rails. There is a pin you pull and it slides all the way out past the end of the truck bed. If the pump where removed a BBQ could be put in its place for a tail-gater or a beach cruiser truck or whatever you can come up with. Im sure it would have some great hunting applications as well.
PARTS ARE READILY AVAILABLE FOR THESE TRUCKS HERE IN THE USA
This trucks Chassis/Vin # is S83P-057846
The pump, like the truck, has had minimal use and shows it. The inside of the pump housing appears as it has never seen water through it. The Turbine chamber was found filled with antifeeze for preservation and to prevent freezing. The pump was sold as being fully operational and working when taken out of service just over 6 months ago. I have started it several times and it fires right up. The pump is a 2 cycle 385cc electric or pull start.275 gpm @ 78psi or 196 gpm @ 113psi. I contacted an english speaking sales rep in Tokyo and he sent me a pdf parts catalogue along with his contact information to order any parts in the future. Purchaser will receive his email, contact information, and english pdf parts catalog.
