1985 Citroën
Imported by original owner to Washington state, in '85, then Federalized in Ca shortly thereafter, and it's been in N. California - San Francisco bay area since then. Clear Ca. title. Two owners since new. Has never seen snow or salt, & I cannot find any rust anywhere on this car and I'm from Detroit where rust is everywhere plus I've had several older 2cvs in midwest and I know where all cars rust - listing this 2CV for an estate (clear title is in the name of the estate).
Plastic gastank, never rusts, removed recently & found very clean while installing brand new fuel sensor. 3 sections of fuel hose replaced - between tank & body pipe, body pipe to fuel filter, and hose from pump to carburetor. Alternator check shows proper charging. All glass is good, clutch and gearbox work fine. Engine was replaced with a rebuilt one around 10 yrs ago, with low mileage on thesecond engine. Odometer shows mileage 83,126. Steering wheel is aftermarket item sold in Slovenia for 2CVs, shows some wear of the leather. Top right area of rollup convertible top canvas has small spot where vinyl coating has been damaged - see photos. Body has a few small dings - 2 on LF fender edge, LR fender dings, small beltline LR door ding, 2 small dimples on RR door beltline, another below RF fender lamp. New driver's window snapsocket to hold door glass up when paying toll. Plastic grille has cracks - replacements are available. Top of rear seat upholstery shows sun damage. Some tires showing age cracking but all hold air well. New battery 2 months ago. Left rear door hinge seal - flexible plastic material - has cracked fromage,but all parts are available from several suppliers across the US. Fenders all sport nice cast aluminum Robri aftermarket spats.

If you've never driven or ridden in a 2CV, you've missed a truly different, comfortable driving experience - the suspension of these cars eats potholes and bumps like nothing else. Plus no one needs 4 wheel drive with a Duck - its front wheel drive, long suspension travel and light weightenables it to go near anywhere offroad even. Not to mention over 40 mpg. Original design goal was "able to drive across ploughed field with basketful of fresh eggs without breaking one" and it does that. Top speed around 70-75 mph all day long. Two cylinder engine with rollerbearing connecting rods also has oil-cooled exhaust valves to allow engine to run full throttle all day without overheating - I've never seen any other engine with that level of sophistication. Original jack & tire changing tools in trunk with spare tire. Deluxe aluminum full size hubcaps - only ones I've ever seen. These vehicles are not cars - they're events.
Car & title will be released on clearance of certified cashier's check to estate's account.
NOTE - I have 100% positive feedback except for last sale 3 yrs ago. The buyer was a Russian troll who scammed me by winning the bid at the last minute, then immediately cancelling it. So I said something negative to him! And he flagged me. Took me 3 months to get Ebay to return my listing fee and get them to clear my record. So beware the phonies out there!
