The Citroën 2CV (French: "deux chevaux"that is to say"two horses") is an economy car introduced at the 1948 Paris Salon Mondial de l'Automobile. It´s anair cooled front engine, front wheel drive, 4 dr sunroof sedan. The Citroen 2cv wasmanufactured by Citroën in Europe between1948 and 1990 in several factories. The most important factories: Levallois-Perret near Paris (France), Vigo (Spain), and Belgium, and the final two years of 2CV production took place in Mangualde (Portugal), before production formally ended in 1990.
In 1953 the technical review Autocar described "the extraordinary ingenuity of this design, which is undoubtedly the most original since the Ford T". In 2011, the Globe and Mail called it a "car like no other". Noted automotive author L. J. K. Setright described the 2CV as "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car", calling it a car of "remorseless rationality". The Citroen 2CV is unquestionably one of the cars of the Twentieth Century.
This car was sold new in Barcelona (Spain),in hands of one family from 1963 to 2013 (50 years!!). In 2013 a Spanish collector bought the car and he makes minor maintenance work. In 2015 the carisimported from Europe. Fully revised by a specialist before embarking to the United States. The car lookswith beautiful patinaand drives excellent!
This unit is very collectible. A true survivor with very low miles (54700 Kilometers). It´s a rare first series with four windows and suicide doors!! Beautiful colors combination: blue with grey wheels, bumpers and hood, and red interior with grey dash. Very rare to find in this original unrestored condition.
This rare model is equipped with a two cylinder 425 CC air cooled engine,4 speed manual transmission,6 volts. Always starting and running beautifully like a new 2CV in 1963.
Prices of 2CV are increasing, especially first models with suicide doors.I have added a picture of the valuation.Don't miss this opportunity to get such an amazing unit of a Citroen 2CV.
