1966 Chrysler 300 Series

SELLING HERE WITH NO RESERVE is my Dad's 1966 Chrysler 300. After knowing the car for most of it's life, Dad got the opportunity to purchase it a year or so ago from the family of the original owner. It has a clean, clear Virginia title in my Dad's name and I have possession of both the car and title. I am handling all aspects of the sale/auction of the car for my Dad. He isn't tech savvy, nor does he want to be bothered by the influx of calls and messages the car will likely generate. My name is Matt and my cell is 606-269-8911 if you have questions or would like to schedule with me to come look at the car DURING the auction.

The car had sat for a long while when he purchased it so he had a new carburetor and gas tank put on it-the original carburetor and breather will go with the car. We all know that sitting doesn’t help these old rides-this one needs to be driven and have her legs stretched every so often. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do that for it, and neither did the previous owner-- She needs and deserves to be enjoyed! It has a 383 big block and 727 transmission. It’s got factory a/c also that is all there and complete, but I haven’t attempted to use it.The engine runs good and has some intermittent smoke out of the pipes, I presume from sitting-again, it needs to be driven. The transmission shifts good. I have put a handful of miles on it and it rides, drives, steers, and stops. All of the lights work, even the turn signals on top of the fenders. The AM radio plays beautifully. The rare and super desirable, factory white interior is absolutely beautiful with factory buckets and console with working 60’s era vacuum gauge atop the console, along with the nice 60's era clear seat covers as well. The car has 65k original miles, as it has been enjoyed some over the years. 65k miles spread across nearly 60 years, is not much for a car of this caliber. The car is not perfect, nor am I representing it as such. It is however, far better than just being "presentable" for sure. In fact, it's super nice. I just don’t believe in claiming the car is something that it isn’t-IT’S NOT PERFECT. The car has been garage kept its entire life and definitely shows it. There is no rust in the car that I have been able to find. With that said,I do welcome you, or your inspector, to come look the car over DURING the auction- prior to auction's end of course. Then you can make an educated decision on your opinion of it. The car is being sold to free up space in one of my garages as I have other projects that I would like to complete and neither Dad nor myself have had time to be enjoying this one. This pristine ride is definitely worthy of a good home. It's a good, clean old car that you can be proud of to drive to church on Sunday or cruise to your local shows all while improving it to your liking or customizing it, or whatever suits you. For simplicity's sake, I would just drive it and enjoy it as it sits, but everyone has different opinions on what they like. I must say though, that the car would be tough with a Hellcat swap, minitubbed, and lowered on a set of billet wheels....

OK, now for the good stuff---

This car is being sold/auctioned as-is/where-is with NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. Again, I encourage anyone genuinely interested to come look it over any way that you like DURING the auction to ELIMINATE ANY QUESTIONS AFTER the auction is over. A $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is due within 24 hours of auction's ending and the remaining balance on the car is due within 7 days of auction's ending. I require that the winning bidder contact me within 24 hours after auction's end to make me aware of your transport arrangements for it, so that I can try to work out my availability with my work schedule, as I will have to be present for your transport driver to be able to pick it up. The car is located in London, KY.I have a very hectic work schedule and transport will have NO CHOICE but to work around it-please know that up front. Do not send transport for the car unless we have spoken first. Please understand that the car and title will not leave my possession until payment has been made in full and/or cleared my bank.
