CAR: 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI SHP

MILEAGE: 101,000

TITLE: CLEAN South Carolina Title in my name.

LOCATION: Spartanburg SC 29307

PRICE: $26,000

BUILD: The engine swap was completed by Team Rocket Auto in Hamilton, OHIO. The swap was done very cleanly and professionally. No short cuts here. I am very satisfied with the work performed on the engine swap. I dropped the car off in Ohio in March 2022, and picked it back up in January 2023.

DYNO TUNE: Car was dyno’d at Exigent Solutions in Hamilton, OH in January 2023. The car made 750whp @ 35psi, and 617whp @ 26psi. The car is currently set at 23psi, with boost cut at 25psi, and rev limiter at 8,000rpm. This was done to be very conservative as the car is only used for car shows and car meets.

ECU: ECUMaster EMU BLACK. Car was fully street tuned by Upstate Performance in Mauldin, SC in June. I had the car re-tuned a few months after I picked it up from Ohio. I wanted to get rid of the IACV and improve the drivability.

ENGINE: 1JZGTE NON-VVTI Front Sump. I have full spreadsheets/invoice for all work done and parts purchased. Engine bay was painted in 2017 using “Electron Blue Pearl” which is a HONDA factory color. Paint code B95P. Turbo is a Borg S366. 1JZGTE bottom end is stock. The head is built using BrianCrower Springs and Titanium retainers, and BrianCrower Stage 2 264 cams. There is way too much to list here. I can share spreadsheets with those who are interested.

TRANSMISSION: Fully Built R154 w/ Marlin Crawler components. I have a spreadsheet and receipts for all work done to transmission. Clutch is a Comp Clutch STAGE 4. Flywheel is a Comp Clutch Lightened Steel Flywheel. Driveshaft was custom made at Carolina Driveline w/ a R154à1310 slip yoke.

INTERIOR: The front and rear seats are from a 1987 Conquest and were recovered in black/gray vinyl. They are in excellent condition with no tears or rips. The dash does have some wear on top on the passenger side. The gauge cluster was replaced by a fully digital Haltech LC7 screen. There is no HVAC in the car (blower motor and HVAC controls were removed). There is also no radio in the car. The glovebox was removed to install the ECU, but I haven’t installed it back. I do still have the original glovebox and it just needs to be reinstalled.

EXTERIOR: The paint code is “H84 Grace Silver” which was an 88/89 option. The following parts were repainted in 2017: (airdam, front bumper, headlights, header panel, rear bumper). The hood is the very rare 1983 hood that was fully restored and painted this year. There is NO RUST on the car anywhere. I bought the car out of North Carolina in May 2009, and it has been garaged for the past 14 years while in my possession. I hired a professional detailer to cut/polish the whole car back in February of this year. It really brought it back to life. But yes, it still shows its age in areas. The worst part is the rear spoiler. This paint is faded with some light peeling at the wiper arm.

WHEELS: Purchased from LMR.com. They are “Saleen SC” wheels. 17x10/17x9. 5X114.3 or 5X4.5 pattern—FRONT 17X9 +24mm and the REAR 17x10 +20mm. There is a 1” spacer on the rear and a 12mm spacer on the front.

TIRES: BF Goodrich G-FORCE Sport Comp2—REAR(275/40ZR17—Date code Week 44 2016). FRONT(235/45ZR17—Date code Week 19 2016). I bought the wheels/tires brand new in 2016, which is the reason for the 7-year-old tires. The car has ALWAYS been garaged while in my possession. The tires probably only have around 3,000 miles on them, as I only ever took the car to cruise-ins and car meets.

SUSPENSION: KYB GR2 Struts in the rear. KYB struts in the front also. The rear struts could be replaced. I think the car would benefit from some D2/K-Sport coilovers. There are also Cosmo coilovers installed on the car, and the car is lowered about 2” all around.

FUEL: Car is fully tuned on E-85. There is a 12-gallon FUEL CELL in the hatch of the car. The stock fuel tank is gone from under the car. The fuel pump is an Aeromotive A1000 which is mounted under the car.
