Description:
1963 Chrysler 300 Series Power windows
1963 Chrysler 300 Convertible - Last run in 1986.Stored in garage for 32 years. It ran when put away.
This would be an ideal parts car or restoration project. I've owned this for forty years, so I know much about it.
The negatives first:
It certainly does not run, start or drive. It has four flat tires. It hasn't been started in perhaps 30 years. It has been stored in an unheated single car garage in Long Beach, New York. It has the original 383 with Carter 2 BBL and push button Torqueflite.
No, this isn't a Pace Car package, and it has no console. It's not a 300J Letter Car.
If you don't understand what the above means, it means that everything will need rebuilding if you ever expect to drive this car.
It was originally white and was painted sometime in the early 1970's in maroon enamel. When it was put away it did not have any exceptional rust and was a sound car. I remember it to have a ding in one front fender. Otherwise it is straight. The rear deck lid was replaced with a New Yorker deck lid that is a different color and is not fitted properly.
Most of the window glass is broken. A retard next door broke into the garage ten years ago and broke most all of the glass. The brick he used is visible in the picture of the front seat. It's included in the auction.
----
The positives:
When it was put away it ran and it ran well. It's all original. The interior has metallic maroon buckets with a center bolster (no console) and original carpet. When it was stored the interior was in excellent shape with no rips. The carpet was faded, that's it.
Most of the glass in the car is broken.
The tires are flat and it has cheap replacement wheels.
The top is in one piece and was not ripped and worked when put away.
All the trim was put away with the car though it was removed. It should all be there.
So, no you can't drive it home. It's close to a wall in this garage so getting wheels on it to drag it out will be a chore. The garage door also has no springs, so getting it open will be a chore.
It was last registered to me in New York around 1986. I may have the transferable registration. New York does not title 1963 cars.

Obviously I want this out of here. I don't want to junk it, which would yield me $350, as I love these Chryslers and would like to see it go to someone who can use it or use the parts.
I'm not in the business of parting things out and really would like to deal with a mature, realistic person who gives me very little grief and understands what he's getting here. Don't think you're coming here with a jar of gas and trying to start it. I'll help you out any way I can.
Obviously we want cash for this. Ebay's already looking for $156 from me, so have a heart, guys.
-- We've had several valued ebayers who "bought it now," disappeared, didn't have a working email address, or wouldn't follow through with communications when they promised. If you can't get your act together, don't have the money, wife won't let you buy it, aren't sure you can pick up the car, etc, please go buy something else.
If you win this auction, you must contact me within 24 hours and arrange to come and get it.
The car is for sale elsewhere, and I can cancel this sale and bids at any time.
Just drop a line if you have any questions...

I took a better look at the car. It's pretty rough. There's now some rust in the rear quarters, and the lug nuts and wheels are all very rusted. There are some small tears in the vinyl interior from the broken glass.
The convertible top has small tears around the rear window which is also torn. The top along with the rear well, will need replacement. It's just too old. The tires are cracked. Of course if this is a problem to the high bidder, just let me know and we'll cancel your bid.
I'd really recommend that anyone expecting to buy this to come down and take a look in person. I want a happy buyer! -
