Up for sale at "NO RESERVE" is a 1965 Chrysler Crown Imperial 4 Door Hardtop. This time capsule is just waking up from a 7 year dormancy as it was last on the road in 2007. The previous owner had purchased the car in 1995. It has spent most of its life in Maine. The car is equipped with the venerable 413 cu in (6.8 L) Wedgehead engine with a Carter 4bbl carb boasting 340 hp and is paired up with a TorqueFlite 3 speed automatic transmission. Wheelbase is at 129" with an overall length of 227.8 in. making this a true land yacht. Appearance is fair. The color is Mist Blue. There is some rust through on the passenger side of the car. Floors and the trunk are solid as a rock. The front fascia of the car sports a large chromed crossbar and surround, nd the headlights are inset into the grill behind tempered-glass lenses covers with etched horizontal lines imitating the grill. The interior is trimmed with 100-year old Claro Walnut wood inlays that appeared on the instrument panel.. Upholstery is a combination of both fabric and real leather. The leather is showing some dry cracking. The car runs and drives. It has a dual exhaust with a desirable throaty sound. Much work has been done over the years proving that the car has been lovingly cared for. There is a lot of receipts for work done on the car. This car restored can be worth over $20,000.
